Camphor oil is an excellent disinfectant, insecticide, and germicide, when applied to the skin, it can feel cool and reduce the pain from injuries like minor burns. The properties help camphor oil to work in calming muscle spasms. Do not apply to an open wound.

Camphor oil may be able to help with fungal infections due to its various medicinal properties. It could be used as a topical treatment for certain types of toenail fungus.

The strong odor of Camphor oil also happens to make it a good insect repellent, especially for pests like flies and moths.
